“Unwritten Rules” is a short film about soft power, obligation, and social prestige within the Vietnamese community in America. The tension does not arrive through loud confrontation, but through glances, pauses, unfinished sentences, and debts nobody wants to name aloud.
Story direction
From a small conflict around money, status, and pride, the story opens into a struggle between loyalty, self-protection, and what people owe each other. It is not crime in the direct sense; it is power living in everyday life.
